Working at the Bettys Craft Bakery

The teams at our Craft Bakery are committed to quality and craftsmanship. Bettys was founded in 1919 by Frederick Belmont, a Master Confectioner, and to this day – nearly 100 years on – we’re still devoted to keeping traditional craft skills alive through our internal training.

Craft skills take centre-stage at our Craft Bakery.

Working at Bettys Craft Bakery means working with the finest quality ingredients to craft our specialities. From baking our speciality breads, to putting the face on a Fat Rascal, to hand decorating our bespoke celebration cakes, you’ll be working as part of a team to ensure our customers are always delighted.

Teams in our Craft Bakery include bakers, confectioners, cake decorators and people who specialise in the arts of pastry and chocolate. Our excellent training means that we don’t expect people to come in with all the skills and knowledge; we’re looking for people who are passionate, dextrous and have an attention to detail.

In our management roles, you’ll be leading large teams to ensure we create enough of our cakes, chocolates or pâtisseries to delight our customers at our six Café Tea Rooms in Yorkshire and across the world through our online mail order service.

And of course, our busy Craft Bakery is supported by a number of other teams, including quality assurance, stores and despatch.
