We’re looking for a passionate and high performing marketeer with previous Brand Management experience to join our Yorkshire Tea brand team.

Reporting into the Marketing Lead for Yorkshire Tea, your role would be to develop and deliver a consumer-centric, sustainable and profitable marketing strategy for the Yorkshire Tea brand, focusing on portfolio development over the next 1-3 years and generating long-term brand equity. You would manage the implementation of the strategy across the full marketing mix.

A great candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to apply marketing best practice. They will show excellent relationship building skills and strong communication with the ability and confidence to influence at all levels, including external agencies. Yorkshire Tea is the UK’s No 1 tea brand; we are family owned and behave like a challenger brand. This means having a creative flair and curiosity is essential along with the ability to plan, review and act on market research and consumer insight. A great candidate will also have experience of line manager responsibilities as this role has 1 report, the Assistant Brand Manager, although this is not essential.

This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday) and a fixed-term maternity cover. Further primary responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting growth objectives and KPIs to measure and monitor commercial and brand activity performance using all available data.
  • Managing creative development for ATL campaigns with our creative agency.
  • Setting and implementing the media strategy in collaboration with out Media Agency and Marketing Lead.
  • Working collaboratively with our internal Brand Communications team and/or external agency partners throughout the creative process ensuring alignment with agreed brief, brand positioning and key insight.
  • Communicating brand strategy across wider business, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders to secure support for implementation of brand plans.
  • Managing and developing the product portfolio, including existing product development and new product development, working closely with Marketing Lead, Front-End Innovation and Research & Development.
  • Partnering with Commercial, Sales and Insight to contract on stretching value, volume, and profit targets for major projects, along with price positioning and promotional guidelines.
  • Responsible for the 1–3-year Future Picture targets working collaboratively with Marketing Lead & Commercial Director.
  • Support the Marketing Lead on our 3–5-year Future Picture ambition.
