Description

We are looking for a Deputy Catering Manager to join our friendly team here at Bettys Harlow Carr. Working as part of our Catering leadership team and reporting to the Catering Manager (Head Chef), this role is all about leading and supporting a team to deliver a deliciously magical experience to every customer.

At Harlow Carr the deliciousness of the treats is matched by the beauty of the surroundings, the splendid RHS Gardens, one of Harrogate's most popular tourist destinations, where the four seasons are celebrated with stunning displays of colour.

At Bettys, you will have the chance to be your best every day; by achieving excellence in creating exceptional dishes through multiple menu offerings, engaging and motivating a team of 12-15 team members, as well as maintaining the highest brand, food hygiene and health & safety standards, all within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You’ll have:

  • A background of working in a busy kitchen, producing quality dishes;
  • Experience in managing people and motivating a team;
  • An appetite for problem solving, forward planning and working at pace;
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures

You’ll get:

  • A salary of £26,000 per annum;
  • Plus, you will be eligible for our Group Profit Share scheme as soon as you join us! It is paid quarterly as percentage of what you’ve earned in that quarter. This means that when it’s paid, you’ll get a % of your base pay and any overtime earned during that quarter on top of your hourly rate or salary. The percentage is set once a year in line with the performance of the Group, for 2022 it is set at 7.1%. This scheme, like most bonus schemes is discretionary and non-contractual;
  • Staff discounts, uniform, and free meals whilst at work;
  • Work life balance, with one weekend day off per week and no evening work;
  • Free car parking onsite;
  • Outstanding learning and development opportunities.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.

Please note that due to the current staffing crisis in the UK, this role will close when filled. Please apply as soon as possible to be considered.
