We have an opportunity for an experienced baker to join our Bread team in Bettys Craft Bakery.

As a member of our Bread team you will be responsible for producing our wide range of speciality breads and seasonal products.  This will include weighing out ingredients and preparing and finishing the products by hand and machine.  You will also need to be able to carefully manage the timings of proving and baking to ensure batches of bread are prepared to strict deadlines to meet the demand from our Café Tearooms and Shops.  The role will also include supporting other teams as required, and cleaning and maintaining the Bread department to the highest standard.

You will require previous experience as a baker, preferably with some experience with craft breads, although full training will be provided.  You will also need the following skills:

  • Experience in working in a fast-paced production environment; you will demonstrate excellent timekeeping and be able to work to agreed deadlines
  • A keen interest in working with food and a desire to create deliciously magical products
  • An eye for detail and care in the finished product
  • Enjoy working in a team; shows initiative and is able to collaborate with colleagues.

Your normal working pattern will be 5 days over 7 with weekends off on a rota basis.  Your shift will be 9pm – 5.30am.
