At Bettys York we have an opportunity for an experienced retail professional to join our busy shop team.

In our shops you’ll find a delicious and temping selection of artisan breads, irresistible cakes and mouth-watering chocolates that you simply won’t find anywhere else.

Supporting the Retail Manager your role in the team will be to manage and motivate a small team, ensuring they are trained to Bettys high standard, supporting any development areas they may have and regularly reviewing their performance to ensure the highest levels of customer service.

As well as a keen eye for detail our ideal applicant will have strong commercial and retail skills, be able to spot business opportunities and have a proven record in developing sales. You will also need to meet the following criteria:

  • Some experience in leading and motivating a small team
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Some knowledge of Food Hygiene & Health and Safety procedures
  • Some experience of people management
  • Confident communicator with good level of spoken English
