At Bettys & Taylors we work hard to create a sense of belonging: a workplace where everyone experiences a warm welcome, cares about what they do, can learn and grow, and feel part of an exciting future.
Though we’re over a 100 years old, we believe we’re modern and forward looking, with a culture in which everyone can act as a leader, have a voice, use their initiative and work together to make a difference – whatever their role. We also know that our people do their best work when they feel their best. That means we take a ‘whole person’ approach to help people thrive, supporting wellbeing as well as professional and personal development.
Strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do and when we recruit we always look for positive, talented people who want to work with others to deliver great things. If this sounds like you, why not join our team?

What makes Bettys & Taylors special is our people and the relationships we build. Our business is full of passionate and skilled people who take deep pride in what they do. We work hard to create a collaborative culture where everyone can have a voice, learn from each other, take responsibility and make things happen together.
Being a family-owned business means we can think long-term. We’re guided by our vision and values (the ‘Six Ps’) and take a balanced approach to decision-making, rather than just being driven by the ‘bottom line’. We put our heart and soul into our family of three iconic Yorkshire brands – Bettys, Yorkshire Tea and Taylors of Harrogate.
We’re bakers, tea blenders, production engineers, coffee roasters, IT specialists, marketers, chefs, despatch drivers… and much more besides. We offer a wide variety of roles, varying shift patterns and, where we can, flexibility in terms of hours worked and location. In a business as diverse as ours, combined with our commitment to learning and development, who knows where your career could take you?
We believe in a stakeholder approach to business and making a positive impact on everyone our business depends on – our people, customers, suppliers, communities and the wider planet. Whether it be delighting customers or supporting community and environmental initiatives, our purpose, values and people work together to have a big impact.
Working in a branch of Bettys is deliciously different to many other retail and hospitality jobs. You’ll be working as part of a team, serving our customers in our beautiful tea rooms and shops, or preparing the finest food and drinks in our lively and fast-paced kitchens. We work together to create magical and memorable experiences for our customers.
From baking our speciality breads, to putting the face on a Fat Rascal, the teams at our Craft Bakery are committed to quality and craftsmanship, working with the finest ingredients. Our internal training means that we don’t expect people to come in with all the skills and knowledge. We’re looking for people who are passionate and demonstrate attention to detail.
We manage almost our entire tea and coffee production process, from roasting and blending the raw materials to packaging the finished product ready for distribution to our customers both in the UK and Internationally. Taylors offers a wide range of roles covering production, warehousing and distribution.
Our Engineering Team is responsible for the procurement, maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of all the equipment used in our tea and coffee factory at Plumpton Park.
We offer a wide range of support roles in specialisms such as IT, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Finance, Health & Safety, Procurement and Property Services. These roles are either based within the Bettys and Taylors businesses, or support and guide both businesses as part of our Central teams.
