A new home for the Cone Exchange

Cone Exchange March 2016 Sara Wróblewska 17-03-2016 13-41-45

After almost six years in its previous home the Cone Exchange – our community scrap store – has moved into a new premise.

The Cone Exchange works with schools, community groups, social enterprises and charities to promote and encourage recycling, and puts a host of our business waste to new uses. Thanks to the Cone Exchange coffee sacks become carrier bags and pallets become compost bins, while providing work experience placements for young adults with learning needs. Materials for crafting and creative play, as well as other Cone Exchange wares, are all sold to raise funds for local charities.

The new site is home to a craft room, a creative play room and a cooking and gardening room, and open during term time on Tuesdays from 10am to 4pm, and Thursdays from 10am to 8pm. For more information or to get involved, visit coneexhange.org or call Chris Powell on 0715 061 721.
